As reported by News 9/10 Traverse City, a sport created almost 60 years ago has been gaining a lot of popularity in recent years. We are talking about pickleball! But this sport doesn’t always allow you to play outdoors, which means that as it continues to grow, so does the need for indoor facilities. One family in Grand Traverse County learned about the growing passion for pickleball, and wanted to create a facility where the community can play year-round. Oak Shore Commons will be the new home for Pickle U boasting eight new pickleball courts in a state-of-the-art facility. Other tenants include a new Northwind Health & Fitness and Flex Self Storage, all expected to open in the coming months. Conveniently located directly across from the Grand Traverse Resort, stop by soon and see the new family fitness activities and apartment options. For more information see www.oakshorecommons.com.
