Strathmore Real Estate Group celebrates Mavis Discount Tire as a part of its Riverview 14 Project located in the Tampa, Florida MSA. Mavis Discount Tire is one of the largest independent multi-brand tire dealers in the United States offers a menu of additional services including brakes, alignments, suspension, shocks, struts, oil changes, battery replacement and exhaust work.
Mavis Discount Tire was founded in 1972 as Mavis Tire Supply Corporation. It all started with Vic's Cycle Shop, which repaired bicycles sold by its neighbor, a toy shop. Mavis developed a great reputation for performing seemingly impossible bicycle repairs. One day, a customer requested that the bicycle shop repair a flat tire on his car! Soon afterward, the shop's name was changed to 'Vic the Tire King'.
In 1972 with three stores under their belt, the company's name was changed to Mavis Tire Supply.
Mavis Discount Tire fills a much needed service at the Riverview 14 project that also includes the 124 room Extended Stay America hotel, several retailers including Dollar Tree, NY Nails, Cricket Wireless, Cracker Barrel, and Rosemary Grill.
